"I didn't want some mom whose son may have recently died to see the commander in chief playing golf," he said. "I feel I owe it to the families to be in solidarity as best as I can with them. And I think playing golf during a war just sends the wrong signal."

I take back everything bad I've ever said about George W. Bush. The man is a saint: no less a man could possibly make the almost unthinkable sacrifice he has made, in service to our country and its soldiers who have died in its name. To think that Bush's clubs will moulder, unused, until we finally have defeated terrorism, even if it takes 100 years and it's Jenna's great-granddaughter, emerging from the subterranean bomb shelter in which the most prominent Americans have lived for decades as Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, China, France, and Andorra lob bombs at the US until no one's left alive on the surface, and little Georgina McCain Bush first lofts great-great-grandpappy's retired clubs, and hits a proud drive over the rocky, pitted surface of what passes for a golf course in this post-apocalyptic landscape... The ball disintegrates in the radioactive air - but hey. Such sacrifice should be honored regardless.
I think he's just not any good at golf..
